2020 in Review, whew!!

WOW, although not a large word, it packs a punch!! Let's face it, 2020 was hard on us all, some of us even harder. Hard to believe that we are now at the end of our 3rd month of 2021 with not much change.

This blog is a little different than all the rest because we are going to get into what really happened in the life and times of Riviera Reflections during 2020 and the effect it had on all our couples. Fasten your seatbelts everyone, this is going to get a little rocky.

So, what was 2020 like for Riviera Reflections? What did we do? How did we cope with all the cancellations and postponements from all our couples? How did we help our couples? We are not going to pretend it was easy. It was pretty tough and obviously unexpected. During 2020 we had to learn how to completely adapt to a 100% different way of thinking, as did our couples.

What did we do? Well, for one thing, we used the time to gain some additional education, never hurts to learn more. We even received some additional completion Badges and met some really great new vendors. If 2020 did anything, it allowed us all time. Something that is hard to get. With all our cancellations and postponements, and everyone either canceled or postponed, we feel it affected our couples more. Yes, it is work for us which meant no income, however, we feel it was way harder on our couples - let's face it we were helping plan THEIR dream day. It also made us so sad to see everyone hurting.

We also learned some new techniques on how to deal with a difficult subject that affected so many. We are not counselors, however, but it is now a great resource.

We reassured our couples that their visions for their big day may have changed but their love for each other stayed the same. Some couples embraced the new challenge while some still struggled. We have approached 2021 with a new light. Although some measures are still extreme we are able to once again get out and plan with our couples.
